Tim Crowley to become new president of Nevada Mining Association

The Nevada Mining Association has announced that Nevada native Tim Crowley will become the new president of the organization, replacing Mark Amodei who resigned last week. Crowley will officially take office Monday.
This will be Crowley's second stint working for the NVMA, having served as the association's director of government affairs and community relations from 1998 to 2002.
Crowley, a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, is a partner and co-founder of the Griffin Crowley Group, a statewide public outreach and government affairs firm, representing Barrick Gold Corp. North America, MGM-Mirage, Nevada System of Higher Education and the City of Elko, among others.

He also is involved with several community organizations, including KNPB Public Television and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada, where he serves as a board member and a Big Brother.
